While many consumer drones are aimed at people who want to take long-range selfies or catchy Instagram photos of milestones, DJI’s line of UVA devices takes things a little more seriously. These are drones designed for professional users who want sharp 4K aerial photos and videos. They are supplied with price tags corresponding to this status.

The best drones available in 2017: DJI, Parrot and more for professionals and beginners.

DJI Inspire 1 (refurbished) at DJI for $ 2399

The Inspire 1 may be evolving a bit now, first released in 2014, but it’s arguably one of the most powerful and powerful drones you can buy for cash. It offers an incredible amount of control, robustness and capabilities. to update certain items. like the camera, the battery and the propeller.

Prices and availability.

As mentioned earlier, like the other drones in the business, the DJI Inspire 1 isn’t cheap. However, the price has dropped since its launch a few years ago, and you can now buy it directly from the manufacturer for £ 1,849.00 ($ 1,999, AU $ 3,399.00).

It’s certainly far from being in an impulse buy zone, but it’s one of the best drones you can buy for cash – it turns out it costs a lot of money. Outside of the DJI store, you will find that the Inspire 1 is available in several specialty stores around the world.

Design

The DJI Inspire 1 is a really scary drone, even if you are used to such devices. A fusion of metal, carbon fiber and plastic that resembles a robotic killing machine in flight. It even has movable arms that lift up when it is in the air to give the camera a completely free view of the world.

In stark contrast to some of the pocket UVAs currently on the market, the Inspire 1 offers incredible proportions – DJI even made a massive flight case for transport and storage. It goes without saying that you shouldn’t expect to put this in your backpack before you go hiking.

The Inspire 1 has four quick-change blades that hook onto each arm. This process must be repeated every time the drone flies, as it cannot be stored in place with the blades. It must even be brought in a special means of transport before it can be stored in its case.

The same applies to the camera, which is mounted on a gimbal to move during the flight. The battery is located on the back of the device and must be removed for charging and removed from the main case.

Create and manage

The overall build quality of the DJI Inspire 1 is incredibly robust, so robust that we don’t want to be at the receiving end of a collision with this particular drone, especially when traveling at a speed of around 60 km / h , what DJI claims when it does the wind resistance is minimal.

During our tests, we were very impressed by the overall speed of the Inspire 1: it is undoubtedly one of the fastest drones we have ever flown thanks to its powerful brushless motors. It is also quick to stop and turn: piloting this drone is a very pleasant experience.

The Inspire 1 is controlled with the included remote control, which has a dual-lever configuration and multiple inputs for controlling things like camera angle, video recording and homecoming. The remote connects to your phone or tablet via a cable connection and displays the world view of the drone on the device screen.

Unlike many other drones on the market, the video stream was only minimally interrupted due to signal problems thanks to DJI’s powerful antenna on the remote control and Lightbridge HD video downlink technology. If you feel particularly adventurous (and full of money), you can even connect a second person to the drone with another remote control and have the camera controlled independently.

Performance

Once DJI Inspire 1 is released, it’s hard not to be impressed by its capabilities. Not only is it easy to control, incredibly stable and surprisingly agile, it also offers a variety of functions, settings and options accessible via the DJI GO app, available on iOS and Android.

This app can be quite intimidating at first simply because of the sheer number of options it offers; It is definitely recommended that you take the time to learn the ropes before you start your first flight. DJI has carefully incorporated a beginner mode to help you relax. This creates a virtual safety net that prevents the drone from flying too far and gives you the opportunity to familiarize yourself with your controls before venturing further.

The Inspire 1’s GPS lock is incredibly precise, and even if it hovers over a long period of time, it doesn’t rock like many other drones. Perhaps the most important feature you need to familiarize yourself with is the return home, which you can really rest on if you have technology that costs a lot of money in the air.

If the connection between the remote control is broken or the battery is dangerously discharged, the Inspire 1 automatically returns to its starting point to prevent it from being lost during long distance flights.

The powerful motors of the Inspire 1, the advanced processor and 4K video recording require a lot of juice, and the drone comes with a fleshy 5700 mAh battery. This corresponds to a flight time of approximately 20 minutes. However, your mileage depends on the flight conditions and the type of activities in which you participate.

BUILDING THE SPECIFICATIONS
PACKAGING
The DJI Inspire 1 dimensions are 17.2 x 11.9 x 17.8 inches (43.7 x 30.2 x 45.3 cm). It is a fairly large drone that makes a capable photography and surveillance tool. Owing to its large size, getting it to execute rough-and-tumble stunts is a task. It is also difficult to store. The Inspire 1 drone size speaks of its sturdiness and reliability.

A definite plus of the Inspire 1 is that it comes with 2 controllers. This enables a pilot to control the drone, and a photographer to capture dazzling aerial photographs with ease.

The inspire 1 is slightly expensive. However, it is well-worth the money. The cost includes all features. There are no hidden costs, such as the need to pay for extra propellers and batteries.
